Our commitment
Accessibility Statement
Browncroft Auto Service Center is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities.
Our Goal
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
What We've Done
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, main, nav, footer) for screen reader navigation
- All images include descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked aria-hidden
- Color contrast meets WCAG 2.1 AA minimums (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text)
- All interactive elements are keyboard-navigable with visible focus indicators
- Form inputs are associated with labels via htmlFor/id pairs
- ARIA labels on navigation regions and icon-only buttons
- Skip-to-content link available at the top of every page
- No content flashes or strobing effects
- Responsive layout works at 320 px wide and up to 400% zoom
- Videos include muted/autoplay attributes; decorative video is aria-hidden
Known Limitations
While we work hard to ensure accessibility across the entire site, some third-party content — such as embedded maps — may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to address these gaps and will update this statement as improvements are made.
